1. LifeStraw Go Water Filter Bottle
The best filtered water bottle overall
Brand: LifeStraw | Material: BPA-Free Plastic | Capacity: 22 oz | Price: 💰💰💰💰
You’ve probably heard of the LifeStraw, but did you know they have a whole water bottle too? Well, they do! The LifeStraw water bottle is designed in various colors and comes in 22oz or 1L sizes. Lifestraw made the filtration using a hollow fiber membrane, as well as an activated carbon filter. They claim this design removes 99.9999% of waterborne bacteria and 99.9% of waterborne protozoan parasites. The activated carbon works to reduce odor and chlorine, so your water is even purer.
Reviewers were very pleased with the Lifestraw water bottle, on the whole. They thought it was perfect for traveling, loved that the filter lasted a long time, and some who had issues received excellent and efficient customer service. However, a few users mentioned that the bottle leaked and that the water was pretty hard to suck out of the straw. Some responded that the water is more difficult to suck out due to the amount of filtering, so this may not be an ideal option for those who don’t want to suck too hard.

2. GoPure Water Filter Pod
The best versatile filter for water bottles
Brand: GoPure | Material: BPA-Free Plastic, Diatomaceous earth, Silver | Capacity: No Bottle, Filter Only | Price: 💰💰💰
GoPure has designed a fascinating new water bottle (or any water container) filter. It is a small pod made of BPA-free plastic (which is recyclable), with a filter inside. To use, you can just plop it into a pitcher of water, a water bottle, and it will filter the water. GoPure also has water filters for animal water dishes, so they can also have the cleanest water. Each pod purifies 264 gallons of water, so they should last around six months, depending on the frequency of use. This filter removes cysts, algae, and asbestos from water, so it is not something to use for anything other than tap water. The GoPure website only allows you to buy these in packs of 2 or more, so if you want to spend less money and just try one out, Package Free has that option!
This funny little filter received many positive reviews from buyers. It made tap water taste great, was easy to use (just drop it into any water container!), and buyers were happy that the filter could even be used in their pets’ water bowls. One buyer’s only complaint was that their water didn’t taste any different from before, which made them question if the filter pod worked.

Buyers liked this filtered water bottle, overall. They liked that it kept their water cold, made their tap water taste good, and is a good size as well as being sturdy. What to Look for in the Best Filtered Water Bottle
When it comes to finding the best filtered water bottle for you, there are a couple of aspects to consider.
1
Lid Types
There are so many random types of lids these days! Some have straws, some are just a typical screw-on lid, and some are even a combination of both. Whatever type of lid you want, you can find it!
Straw Lids
Straw lids are probably the easiest. You don’t have to unscrew anything or tilt your head back and risk splashing water on yourself. They are, however, capable of growing mold or mildew a lot more easily than most other lid types and, indeed, something to consider. If you aren’t willing to thoroughly clean your water bottle most days, this may not be the best choice for you.
Screw-on/off Lids
The most basic type of lid! There is always a chance of getting water all over yourself, but if you’re able to adjust to this type of lid quickly, then it just might be worth it! We love that this type doesn’t develop mold as straws do.
2
Type of Filter
Just because a water bottle claims to be filtered doesn’t mean that it has the type of filter you want. Some filters can only remove chlorine from tap water, while others are designed to eliminate all sorts of bacteria and microbes from water taken straight from a natural source like a creek. Especially if you want to go backpacking or traveling somewhere with low water quality, you need to be sure to find a water bottle that specifies having a filter that gets rid of all the nasty things that will be in your water. As long as you read descriptions and all of the best filtered water bottle reviews, you should be safe!
